I made these in 20 minutes. Yield 8 frozen breakfast sammies and one for Boy #2 for breakfast. Simple and easy.

Chantilly Cake Review

Publix had this cake on sale the last two weeks. It looked quite scrumptious so I purchased it for a girl at work who's husband "forgot" about her birthday. Of course us girls have to stick together so I bought her this cake for an after celebration of her special day. I like to bake, but after work on a weeknight it's not good to tempt fate especially when one didn't sleep near enough hours the night before. So I stopped by my friendly Publix and bought the prettiest one I saw. The icing is a mix between butter cream and whipped topping and isn't anywhere near as sweet as the usual icing of a Publix cake {a good thing}. The fruit in the middle layer and on the top was quite fresh and very tasty. Sadly, you now have to special order the cake 24 hours in advance. Corporate impulse control for me :)

Crazy Cooking Challenge--Chicken Noodle Soup

Oh it took me so long to find a chicken soup that I was going to make for this Crazy Cooking Challenge on chicken noodle soup. I was trying to find a soup that would be to all of our liking here at testosterone heaven. I know that the boys around here will mostly eat anything, but I'm a little picky about soup. As Rachael Ray would say I prefer "stoup", and chicken noodle doesn't typically qualify as that. I also was looking for a recipe that I could use items from my freezer and pantry. I feel so lucky to have found Cooking Dunkin Style while perusing Pinterest the other day. This recipe had all of the qualities that I was looking for and I didn't have to go to the store. I left the spinach out since I didn't have it and it was still scrumptious. Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

When I saw this cookie recipe at thedailysmash101.blogspot.com , it immediately made me think of cool days, and since living in Florida always inspires a yearning for cool days filled with banana bread loaves, I made them for this month's Crazy Cooking Challenge . The cookie turns out beautifully with a cake like texture and very reminiscent of banana bread itself. Actually they are MUCH better the second day and really taste like banana bread muffin tops.
