I worked today at the job that I used to work at the most--and still work one weekend a month.
Guess what? I got off on time, and as a matter of fact, the person taking over my patients wanted to take report 20 minutes before it was time for me to leave :o)
After working overtime a LOT over the past 6 weeks at my current position, the fact that I basically turned into a pumpkin at 4 pm, was well...................

WONDERFUL AND REFRESHING!
It completely restored my faith, that there are nursing positions where your job can be the way that most people fund their real life.
Granted, we were busy today and as usual shorthanded, but.....let me say it again, I WAS DONE AND OUT THE DOOR AT 4 pm.
It almost makes me want to go back on Wednesday.
Maybe.
