I was talking to my Dad the other night and somehow the subject of the Kindle came up. This item makes my heart sing......books upon books without ever leaving the house. All you have to do is click a button and bam...there it appears. The Kindle will read out loud to you and even saves your place when you have to put your "book" down. You can change the size of the font eliminating the need for glasses and read in the sun due to the anti glare feature.
Now keep in mind that I have carried an informational packet on the Kindle and the Nook around in my work bag for a significant period of time. A friend gave me the information and I have cherished this item of higher technology ever since.
I definitely covet this thing, and my Dad does too! I guess it runs in the family.
When I put this want in perspective though,................the library is free.

But, I'm not giving up my life size info packet. I'll just carry it around in my bag and use it for a bookmark in my library book :)
This is a great thing. I wouldn't take for mine. MAG's PAPA
ReplyDeleteJust a note, our librarian has told us Kindle won't support library e-books: get another type, and it will. She personally has been toting her Nook (by Barnes & Noble) around, it's a great tool for readers! I would love one, but don't know if it's in our budget right now... Anyway, just a note to say Kindle's great, but only if you buy books from Amazon. If you want books through the library, get a different reader. :) Emily in Michigan
ReplyDeleteThanks Emily. I didn't even realize that you could do library books on the readers. Unfortunately, neither is in my budget right now either so I'll be toting around the regular ole library book!
